Siena Hassett is a theatre & film maker, deviser, mover, & singer. She seeks to make original material that moves you-your body and your spirit. Her philosophy lies in the truth that... Life Is Moving. To move is to be and to be is to move. This is her second show with Matrix and she so so happy to have helped to build and perform Art Speaks.

My love for acting has taken on a whole new world. My artistry work is dedicated and committed to create healing art performances to bring awareness, empower, and entertain communities.

Tiaja Sabrie has been working in Metro Detroit theatre since 2014, and is very excited to finally be working with Matrix for the first time. When Tiaja is not in a theatre space or a grey office building, they are playing with their dogs and harassing their husband, Ryan, to audition more.

Alice Nelson is a dual-citizen to Canada and the U.S. and has worked as an actor-creator, playwright, director, producer, puppeteer, improvisor, mask maker and clown. She has written and toured solo shows regarding social and political issues and co-created feminist theatre productions. She teaches courses in Drama in Education and Community, TYA (Theatre for Young Audiences), Theatre for Social Action, and Improvisation at the University of Windsor.

Danielle Wright, a visionary in the opera world, is the Founder and Artistic Director of Opera MODO, a pioneering organization based in Detroit, recognizing the need for a platform that nurtured emerging artists outside of institutional structures. With MODO, Danielle has led a revolution in opera performance, presenting captivating renditions of both classic and contemporary works since its establishment in 2011.

Cydney Marie has been involved in Southeast Michigan’s performing arts community for more than a decade as an actor, director, stage manager, and writer. An alum of Dell’arte International, she has special interests in devising, physical theatre, and arts for social change. Beyond theatre, Cydney dabbles in various dance and circus arts and facilitates weekly theatre workshops in prison through the Prison Creative Arts Project.

Nasir is a long-time veteran of community theater, having performed at venues like the Detroit Opera House, Stagecrafters, and Village Players in Birmingham. Some of his favorite roles include Tony Wendice in Dial M for Murder, Tito Morelli in Lend Me a Tenor, and Karl in Big Fish. He has also contributed to St. Dunstan’s Play Reading & Casting committee. Outside of theater, Nasir enjoys cultivating bonsai trees, building airliner models, and tending to his Japanese garden.

Cassandra Svacha is a theatremaker in Detroit, New York and London. She loves to run and eat donuts in her spare time.

A long-time lover of theater and performance, Monica is grateful to have been a part of this inspiring and powerful project. Her most recent theatrical endeavors are being a member of Matrix Theatre Company's Playback Troupe and performing plays she created for very young audiences with Spinning Dot Theatre. By day, she co-owns and teaches preschool at Planting the Seed Montessori.

Sean Sabo - Sean has acted in both community theater groups and professionally all over Southeast Michigan for the past 20+ years while also teaching English and Acting at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor. Sean was born in Detroit and has spent most of his life in the area--he currently lives in Ypsilanti.
