Cydney Marie (she/they) has been active in Southeast Michigan’s theatre community for over a decade, appearing with companies such as Untheatre Co., The Brass Tacks Ensemble, Emergent Arts, Portable Folio Productions, Saline Area Players, and Ann Arbor Civic Theater. On top of her performance experience, Cydney has worked as a director, stage manager, and writer, and has staged multiple original shows, including solo work. She is currently leading the entertainment committee for Ypsi Pride, and in the past, she served on the board for Saline Area Players and coordinated drama activities at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Cydney recently graduated from Dell’arte International, where she studied ensemble-based devising and physical theatre, and has experience with styles such as Commedia Dell’arte, clown, neofuturism, and theatre of the oppressed. Cydney works in communications at the Prison Creative Arts Project and facilitates weekly theatre workshops in prison. Beyond theatre, Cydney dabbles in various dance and circus arts and enjoys exploring graveyards, cooking, teaching yoga, and arguing with her doofy cat, Phineas.
