An unexpected pregnancy ends an ace fighter pilot's career in the sky. Reassigned to operate military drones from a windowless trailer outside Las Vegas, she hunts terrorists by day and returns to her family each night. As the pressure to track a high-profile target mounts, the boundaries begin to blur between the desert in which she lives and the one she patrols half a world away. Grounded is a gripping tale of the emotional, physical, and psychological tolls of modern warfare, but through its narrative, we see that humanity can be found even in the complex web of conflict.

Director: Emily Lange
Emily Rose Lange is a stage director, choreographer, and teaching artist. She recently moved to Detroit with her partner and two dogs. She is a lover of board games, art festivals, and dessert. She is very excited to be making her debut at Matrix Theatre with this production of Grounded!
